Mirage 2000

The Mirage 2000 is a multirole fighter jet manufactured by the French company, Dassault Aviation. It was meant to compete with the American F-16 which was favored over the Mirage F1 by several European air forces. The Mirage 2000 became operational in 1984. French Mirage 2000s saw action in the Persian Gulf War, as well as air operations over Yugoslavia, with one Mirage 2000 shot down by a surface-to-air missile.
